Excellent TFL teams help out VPOP

Carrying on from their superb assistance in August and September last year, VPOP was again fortunate to have the skilful and dedicated Trees For Life (TFL) teams assisting us in April,  May and June this year.

We are also very grateful to Kat Hill and Steph Cole of DEWNR who organised the funding for the teams to assist us (and Steph who also helped on the day)!

As you can see from the above photo, the team were still smiling after a very hard long morning’s work  (8.30am-1pm) in April pruning, sweeping, removing uprooted prickly shrubs, deadheading grass thatch and everlastings, collecting propagating materials as well as hand & chemical weeding (some photos below)!  Thanks Sam (yellow shirt) and teams!

We are especially grateful to Sam and one of her June team who spent a day  (23rd June) brush-cutting and weeding without VPOP supervision as I had a lingering viral laryngitis.

We thank them sincerely and hope to see them again soon!
